On 15 February 2012, the assets and shares of DMX Corporation and its subsidiaries were sold to Tox Free Solutions Limited (TOX) for $58 million. Albeit with no operating businesses, initially DMX remained listed but chose to delist when it became clear that the costs of listing exceeded the benefits received. Adequate funding has been maintained to meet its obligations and seek other opportunities to enhance shareholder value.

Prior to the above transaction, DMX Corporation was a specialised provider of environmental and waste management solutions based in Australia. DMX Corporation provided a range of waste services including consultancy, project management, fixation and encapsulation, treatment and destruction of hazardous waste and contaminated site remediation. DMX Corporation primarily operated throughout Australia and also provided services in China, Mexico and the USA.

Going forward, DMX Corporation is transitioning to become an investment vehicle focused on three pillars: unlisted investments (such as Nina's Chocolates), strategic investments in listed companies (such as Ask Funding) and through managed investments (such as DMX Capital Partners).

The Board, has over 40 years combined experience in managing investments.
